About GG

Hi, I’m GG. I grew up on a farm in the prairies of Manitoba, where my love for adventure and curiosity was sparked exploring the yard and pastures as a child. I discovered fitness classes when I was 18 and quickly realized how building strength made daily life easier. That’s when I fell in love with movement. I trained for my first half marathon, and my passion for fitness has only grown since.

My curiosity and love for adventure led me on a backpacking trip to Australia, where I discovered CrossFit—a sport that blends powerlifting, Olympic lifting, and gymnastics, all within an incredible community. I earned my CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification in 2018 and began leading group fitness classes and personal training at the gym on my farm.

Fitness, to me, is not about how we look—it’s about taking care of our bodies. I believe in inclusive and empowering fitness for every body, coaching from a place of body neutrality. My mission is to help people build strength and confidence to support their daily lives, enjoy the activities they love, and feel great in their own skin.

At the end of 2024, I expanded my skills and certifications through the Manitoba Fitness Council, including becoming a Registered Personal Trainer and gaining specialties in resistance training, circuit training, and active older adults.

In March 2025, I traveled to India to complete a 200-hour yoga teacher training course. This experience taught me that yoga is so much more than just being flexible, stretchy, or fitting a certain body type (What we’ve been taught in western countries). Yoga is a deep, multifaceted practice that goes beyond the physical practice on the mat. I’m incredibly excited to continue my yoga journey and to share what I’ve learned with my community.
